1/48 Hasegawa A-4M Brazilian Navy "15 years" Special Scheme

Kit- Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M
Extras- Caracal Brazilian Navy (CD48070)

This has been on the back burner for months, I had so much grief with the decals, they were a nightmare, they wouldn't go down, and I put that much Mr Mark Softer on them that they really did melt and Mr Mark Softer leaves stains on paint. I was so close to painting another scheme, but I stuck at it and patched it up best I could.

Painted with Gunze, Tamiya, Vallejo acrylics, Vallejo Metal Color, Citadel, Flory Dark Dirt wash and Tamiya Lacquer Clear (LP-9)

Looks great to me. Looks like you made a fantastic recovery. Those “stains“are called Big Smile weathering

It's another beauty, Grant. Thanks for the post and photos. These little buggers looked altogether better, when done in interesting paint schemes.

Looks great! Hard to tell you had any problems with the decals.

I don't see any problems in the photos- beautiful work!!! I love these special paint schemes and you've done a great job on her- huge decals can be a real pain.

I'm a big Scooter fan and yours is a real work of art. If I remember correctly Brazil got about 70 A4 Mikes and a few TA4 Js, and parts. Their typical paint scheme is boring, but the special paint job you modeled is super. Do they actually have a carrier?

I love those markings!  The model looks great and the weathering is nice and subtle!
