Sorry, no idea on your questions but hope you'll post photos when you finish her. I've seen this model around in the box but don't think I've ever seen a completed build. 

There was this build which featured in an issue of FSM some years ago. It's an extreme example though, cos there was a lot of scratchbuilt detail added.

I saw that article that inspired me. Mine will  be not nearly as complex. 

As I recall, John Vojtech said he spent about 1500 hours on that model. The results certainly show it.

As for the question about hinges on doors, isn't that true it's always one place where the kit makers almost expect the modeler to slam the part together and slather on glue?

Absent good photos of the real thing, and the ability to scratch build it even if photos exist. I try cutting a little narrow strip of sheet aluminum (beer can) say 1/4" long and 1/32" wide, and gluing several on the door, then jig up the door against the wheel well and glue the other ends in the well.

I just did a Google Image Search, and was surprised at how many shots there were.  Most were airborne shots, but a few high res shots on the ground.  Also the shot above of the model.

This was a big idea, when I saw what others have done!

I've been working on this for several years now. Still have a lot of work left. I have a built cockpit, resin engines, details on the cut-loose flaps, but and detailed bomb-bays and wheel bays- lots of other stuff. Anybody ever built this monster? 

I have the Model Collect B-2 as well, but I need to finish this one first.

Any ideas, or ways to attach the flaps, or doors (Landing Gear and Bomb Bay)

Rick, if you decide you don’t want the SRAM‘s and the launcher from the bomb bay, I’ll be happy to give them a good home in my Model Collect B-52H. :-)
