Yes Sir, I’m clear but, thank you anywhos...just wanted 4 blades on it. It will be on a static display along a scale train that will travel through Marine Corps vehicle history. I’m positive the bird I’m replicating was a VMGR-352 bird as they hoisted the Jolly Roger when they came in....

Coondawg, if you have a six blade prop, I'm assuming its a -J model kit. If you want to model a earlier Gulf War C-130, the body will be wrong. Those would have been either E of H model four-bladed. I'm interested in seeing the answer to this as I eventually plan to build some from my flying days with unit tail numbers.

That’s what I’ve been looking for but I can only find them in 1/72.

A company out of Poland called Attack Squadron makes a set of E/H engine nacelles and props in 1/48. But the company itself seems to have changed hands and that has affected their product production.

I don't know the answer without doing some searching, but here are a few ideas.

3D has really jumped into the market. On the Shapeways site there are lots of C-130 props in various scales, although they do tend to be the newer six and eight bladed ones.

One maker on there is a guy named Curtis. You should email him. Usually you can get a product that they have the design files for in other scales.

When I built my 1/72 Hercules, I had the same problem. I ended up buying a cheap partially built P-3 on eBay for the props. But I don't think there are any of those around in 1/48. Good luck.

Thank you for your service.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Does anyone have a complete set of 4 bladed props for a 1/48 C-130 Or know where I could find some? I’m finishing up the Italeri C-130 but wanted to replicate a picture I took at Ras Tanajib during Desert Storm. This kit has the 6 bladed props. I might have to purchase an older kit.
