Color profiles needed....
Posted by Jeeves on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 8:10 AM
I am doing some research on the Tuskegee Airmen planes...I have plenty of color profiles for the Mustangs, but haven't found too much on the P-40s, P-39s, and P-47s....anyone know where I can find some good color profiles for these??

P47s-Are they in with 9 and 15 AF's 'cause I've got the Osprey book. (I've got a jug in 1/144 I'm trimming out and picked up the book.[ Anybody found picks of the "Amy Lou?]) If it'll help I'll look for it.

Ah cool....I had forgotten about that cassibill...thanks!! I wonder if there are any others that are a bit more specific as to nose art and such?? They would be with the 15th AF...332nd Fighter Group....only the 100th, 301st, and 302nd flew T'bolts.

And thanks!

I just picked up AM Techs P-40 F/L long tail merlin powered model two weeks ago when i was at Wright-Patterson for 20.00. Which i might say is a deal considering it has the resin engine compartment and exhaust stacks. The other thing about this kit is the decal sheet has the option for one of the Tuskegee planes named "Ace of Pearls". Forget the pilot. Hope this helps you out. Bryan

Thanks falcon...

I did find a big image of the model boxtop that had the Ace of Pearls scheme featured.... are there any good books on 15th AF P-39s, P-47s, and P40s??
