F/A-18C used in Iraq nowadays?

I recently bought the Academy 1/32 Hornet "C" model and wondered if it was currently flying or have they all been upgraded to a newer model. If they are flying, have you guys got any suggestions for a set of decals?

Check out Twobobs for the 1/32 scale decals. I have the set from VFA-146 with the American Flag motif on the front. That set of markings is very recent, Although I cannot tell how old they are. They are definately POST 9/11, other than that I cannot tell you. Sorry. Those markings are nice.

Try this link above and look for 1/32 scale they have three recent sets available one that is just brand new this or last month. From recent fighting action.

Thanks jimz66!

the kit comes with decals for a bird with a flag on the nose so that must be the same one?
I wanted to depict a non-cag bird so I guess I can leave off the flag and change the aircraft number to something other than 301, 310 or whatever.

Be careful those others won't be so brightly painted. In fact those markines are Exclusive to that aircraft. You will not be able to do that without the proper items. Check out that Twobobs site I think they might have something you like. Good Luck.

Yes that is the same one, that plane is also represented in 1/48 scale by Hasegawa's Stars and Stripes release. Good luck and remember you will need to create BUN numbers as well as individual other markings you might do better with decals that are currentl available. I think they have three of more sets to suit your needs. With that kit being so new others will sooner or later follow suite I think, I can't imagine why they wouldn't. Take care.
