Attack Squadron 37 "Bull" Blue
Posted by datman54 on Saturday, July 6, 2019 9:42 AM

From 1980 to 1982, I served in VA-37, the Bulls and I worked in the corrosion control workcenter.  We had on our tail a copy of the Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull, in blue and black.  Additionally our radome was also painted in this blue color.  We referred to it as bull blue, but not sure what color it actually was.  Is there anyone on this forum that can provide me with information on this color?  Was it a part of FS-595 or is it a special order paint?  Thank you in advance.

Found this online:

Looks like FS35250 UN Blue / Sky Line Blue.

Darker than the previous posted image

I think I'd go with FS15102 True Blue

Yes the Testor's True Blue is correct.

I was in VA-37 from late 1982 until 1985. Nice to see a fellow Bull modelling!
