Here is another pic showing the difference between the Mig and a F-86.

That turned out great.  I did a saber last year and want to do a mig to sit along side it just as you have done.  Hope mine turns out as nice!

Thanks,

John

Nice!  Following your build taught me two things I didn’t know:  1) The kit came with a pilot (a sales point to me), and 2) The MiG-15 was noticeably smaller than the F-86.  I can finally understand why the MiG was lighter than the Sabre.  I knew it wasn’t because of the air conditioning or ash tray!

JK,

It looks great! Nice detail, and the metal turned out wonderfully!

FINISHED - 1/48 Mig 15

I finally finished the Mig 15. The final finish is a combination of Bare Metail Foil and Tamyia paint.  The decals are Microscale decals. I dirtied the plane with a mud colored wash and a black colored wash by Aqualine.

The markings and color scheme are for a Chinese aircraft.

Here is a closeup showing the wash. Just enough to make for a dirty airplane.

This photo compares the Mig 15 with the F-86. The Mig 15 is a smaller aircraft than the F-86. Plus that Mig has that really strange tail wing configuration.
