1/32 Trumpeter Mig-17 Cuban Air Force

I did a photo build for this, link is above if anyone is interested, thanks to the guys who followed along and your kind words.

Heaps of AM in this one, ejector seat, resin wheels, PE for cockpit, brass cannons and pitots. Scratch building with some wiring and plasticard around the engine, some wiring added in the landing gear bays and inside rear fuselage, just for interest.

Camo is done with Gunze, other paints used, Tamiya, Vallejo Metal colours, AK Xtreme metals, hand painting done with Citadel, Vallejo and Lifecolor. Flory dark dirt wash and Gunze Semi Gloss Super Clear.
Decals were Eagle Strike, and a nightmare, worst I have have dealt with yet, I had to end up spraying the Cuban roundels, and thankfully I found some small white stars in my spare decals.

Hello!

Lookin' nice! At first I was wondering about the orientation of the national insignia on the wings, but the next photos cleared this up. The colour scheme is definitely one that you don't see every day! Thanks for sharing and have a nie day

Really nice!  Agree with Pawel, interesting color scheme.  Lots of great detail and a stunning finish.  Well done.

Thanks,

John

Dandy fine build, Grant. One of the more unusual camo color combinations I have seen, who'd have thought blue and green???

Thanks for the post and photos.
