Wow. You did a super job on a complex subject. Doing it in 1/72 makes it even more impressive. Very nice work and thanks for the very nice pictures too.

Thanks everyone for your comments, it's fun to try to get the faded look and difficult as well.  I forget to that I also added those railroad M.V.  products headlights behind the clear plastic wing landing light covers.

Really nicely done, John, it looks fantastic! Exceptional effect on the faded/multi-tone surfaces, and the rigging is superb.

(It inspired me to dig out my old Flugzeug Modellbaukasten 1/75 kit, to give it a go. Big Smile)

Great job on this very interesting subject. Your upgrades really made this kit pop.

Very nicely done Sir! Great job whipping that into a wonderful looking AN-2!

Hello!

Lookin' good! It's always nice to see Polish markings on the forums! Nice work on the rigging. I also have this kit in stash, maybe I'll get to build it one day. An-2 is kinda special for me - I have three take-offs in one, and no landing (parachute jumps, huh, huh!). I'd love to do aeroclub markings or military four-colour camo, they look cool!

Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Paweł

This started out as a raffle win at our local contest.  The kit is not bad had some very ill fitting struts a very plain engine and the plastic didn't always want to glue together.  But I think it came out well, lots of masking and scratch building along the way.  Hope you enjoy the pictures,  Sorry forgot to picture the un-cut sprues.

Didn't use the skis as the wheels were included.

scratch built most everything in the cockpit,  the side panels the door, seat belts center instrument consol.

lots of filing to get the struts to match the wing angles.

Begining to add detail to the engine.

lots and lots of masking.

masked the olive color for different shades on different surfaces.

I forgot to say I also added the rigging and antenna wire and hollowed out all the intake scoops the were molded solid.   All in all a fun project that I'm very happy with the results

Please enjoy the pictures and of course comments are most welcome.
