Newbie looking for feedback - Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1 Corsair
Posted by Nikola on Saturday, September 21, 2019 3:58 AM

Hi guys, I hope I am in the right topic section for this one :) Got back to modelling a few months ago after 20y break.

This is my Tamiya 1/72 F4U-1, number 13 flown by Ken Walsh from VMF 124. I accidentaly damaged the pitot tube and the antenna tail attachment point during the photo shoot :( I know I overdid the chipping on the right side of the fuselage, but didn't want to make it worse by attempting to correct it, so there it is. :)

It is my second model using airbrush and I am looking for some honest feedback from you bigger fish out there, hoping to learn, so don't go easy on me. :)

Thanks in advance,

Nikola

Nikola,

For some reason the link you provided takes me to the Pictame home page, not your pictures.  Perhaps you could provide a better link for us.

Lovely work. Like you I've just come back into the hobby and my p40 didnt seem anywhere near this! Well done.

The F4U-1 is a favourite of mine. Interestingly did you know Goodyear was building these for the war effort?
