I picked up this build again and decided to go with something completely different from my initial idea.

I thought , what whould a BAE Hawk T1 look like in South African AF colours if we didnt have an arms embargo in the 1870 and 80's

It might have been a lead in fighter trainer and light COIN aircraft....

Colors are my own mix of dark earth and dark green over PRU blue as used on other ground attack SAAF planes of the 80's/90's

Nice work. The epoxy putty seats are an interesting idea.

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

This I hope to be an easy quick build to get some build moe-joe back.

Revell red arrows Hawk. Nicely detailed kit and very cheap for its size.

The cockpit detail is OK, the decals for the IP and side consolles go down well with some microsol.

The seats were to bare and to "flat" to my taste so I built them up with epoxy putty to give some depth.

I now need to make the straps and other bits for it.

I plan to leave te canopy closed as it is big enough to see most of the detail through it....however the embrittlement cord for the ejection system is provided as a decal, Im not to convinced it will work on the canopy.

I would have liked to do the green/grey RAF scheme but dont have the decals for it, I hope the white decals in the kit for the red arows will not have the red base color show through.
