Academy F-15E Strike Eagle #2110 1/72 Scale

Just finished this kit last night.

Back Story:

I ordered this kit on eBay only in 1/48th scale. The seller sent me the wrong kit. After exchanging several emails, the seller told me to keep this kit, and mailed out the correct kit.

I offered this kit to my older brother, who for the most part is homebound due to lung transplant surgery. He decided that he would rather build something else.

Today:

My first impressions of this kit were, "Wow, that's small!" I decided to build it anyway. I would have to say, this is one great kit. No fit issues for the most part. No excess flashing. Directions were pretty straight forward. It also came with the full loadout of weapons.

My only real complaint would be the decals. Unlike the last Revell model I did, these seemed to be super thin. I'm not sure if it's the thiness or that maybe the kit is a bit old, but the decals wanted to tear, very easily. I had a couple that did, and I did my best.

I'm really happy with the way this kit turned out. I went with more of a normal paint scheme. Sometimes I get a bit wild.

This is my second Academy kit, and compared to the Revell's and the Testor's, they are miles ahead in my book.

Now on to what to build next!

Here is a link to the album. Start to finish....enjoy!
