How do you mask the nose of F/A-18 to paint tip?

Tamyia pruduces a series of tape that range from 1mm- 10mm width. These tapes have good reviews for going around curves.

You might also be able to hole punch a note card and simply slip it down the nose cone.

we're modelers it's what we do

Better yet, use a hole punch to punch a hole in a piece of masking tape, then do a straight cut through to the edge of the hole. Should make it easier to get a clean 'cone' mask section.

Another option is poke a pinhole in Saran Wrap, then GENTLY push the nose through to where you want it.
Tape in place and paint.
