Coulda been operator error but there was a 1/8" overlap. After I did get the wing on, forcefully on, the wing kinda curled down like an F-84. Anhedral?

Back with the Airacobra after a month. Just a minor update. The Hasegawa P-400 main landing gear has been modified to fit the Monogram wing. It's a small adjustment, but it will certainly help the final appearance of the airplane.
Looks like you've got a handle on it! Incredible that the Monogram fits like a glove, isn't it?

Sorry I haven't been around in a while. After I finished the 80 Years of Airfix group build I've been kinda lost, I was having difficulty deciding what to do next. I think I've got my bearings now. I'm back on course. Right now, on the bench, is a Hasegawa Bell P-400 Airacobra. The kit has been just a little difficult. Not too difficult, just a little. When I closed up the fuselage, I had to use several clamps over a few days to get the cockpit area compressed enough to fit the canopy. There's a lot of super glue behind the seat holding everything together. The next problem is the wing. It doesn't fit. There must be a 1/16" overlap between the fuselage and the wing.

I have a couple of old Monogram P-39 kits in my stash and the wing from that kit fits like it was made for the Hasegawa kit.
I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to do. I thought about grinding the wing root of the Hasegawa wing until I fit the Monogram wing, so I think that's the way I'm going to solve this problem. Anyway, thanks for tuning in. I'll keep you all posted on the build progress.
