Academy 1/48 F-15e IDF
Posted by Theuns on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 10:15 AM

I started this kit for the "Lockdown GB"

Academy F-15E but I will do it as IDF plane

The cockpit detail as far as the side concoles and IP's are quite nice but the seats are a little bare so I dressed them up with tissue and PVA glue to look like a wrinkled seat cover.  I am nt going for super acuricy, just a fun build.

This will be out the box build and I hope I can get it done by late April.

The rest of the kit I found is not a great fit and needs to be wressled into place. Glue small sections at a time.

I read a review a while back reporting the same fit issues you are describing. It did build up very nice but it took some work.

Calling it done, with all the filling and sanding required to get stuff to fit it came out nice.
