Kit was nice, no real fit issues, a little filler where the engine pods fit to the wings but nothing major. Decals were usual hasegawa ones, went down well. I did have an issue with one of the lightning bolts, when i tried to slide it in place it broke up. But as luck would have it, i have a second kit to do the NF version, and that set of decals seemed in better condition.

Not as nice as the Academy 262, but then of course they do not have a 2 seater.

What did you think of the quality of the kit, things like fit and decals?

Superb! The overall camo and markings are top notch. The lightening bolt is striking. I also really like your stylized nameplate on the base. Congrats.

Thanks TB. Matador Models has a special Me 262 set which includes engine intake covers(not these ones, but white metal ones) the tow bar and a Ketten driver.

Hi; I like what you did and the KettenKraftrad is very proper for the job.

Got the 262 wrapped up last night and here's the final pics. The Keten is an Acabemy kit and the figures are metal from Matador Models. The PE intake covers are from Airmodel in Germany.

Thanks for following along.

Bish, are those a set of Sdkfz 250 road wheels I see peeking out from under the 262?

With my S-baot done, i have been able to spend more time on the 262. I gave it a light Flory wash and then added some of the final parts including the drop tanks.

I've sinced added everything else and attached this to the base. It should be wrapped up in a few days.

Nice mottling Bish, especially for such a small scale.

Been a while since my first update. My S-boat has been taking most of my time but finally have some progress to report.

Assembly was finished and everything masked off ready for painting.

Then painting. This was a tricky one, the only photo of this aircraft i have is not clear. I found 4 different paint schemes from various kits or delas. Hasegawa says a mottling of RLM 81/82 all over. The Hobby Boss 48th kit has a splinter camo and one set of decals i found also has a splinter but in different colours. While the Cutting Edge decal sheet says one all over colour either RLM 81 or 83. The photo i have does not show any demarcation between colours, so i went for a single colour opting for the Dark Green 83. Undersides are RLM 76, no confusion there.

I was really pleased with how the mottling came out.

And then the kit decals.

Thats all for now.

Thanks guys. Its a nice lking kit, typical Hasegawa. I do have a second in the stash to build the NF version.

The seats were fiddly to put together but they look the part.

Excellent choice!  I've always wondered how well this one goes together.  I've wanted one myself.  That front office sure looks the business!

Hasegawa 1/72nd Me 262B-1a Completed

I recently started this for the Military Trainer Aircraft GB.

I am adding an Eduard PE set which is designed for the Revell kit but seems to be fitting this well. The pit wnet together quickly, i used the kit decals for the side instruments as tehre was no PE for those bits. The kit seats have been completly replaced with PE.

The pit was then fitted and the fuselage put together.

And the wings were added.

I am building this alongside another aircraft and my S-100 boat so it won't go together as quick as it could, but i hope to have another update soon.
