I started these two 1/48 Monogram models a couple of years ago and finally finished them. They are both OOB except for the resin seats and AM decals on the Six Pack. The Daggerdecals were the included Monogram ones from 2002 and applied beautifully.
My thanks to John Eaton (jeaton01) for sending my missing F-102 air brakes that I somehow lost. I polished the MM ADC Grey Enamel on both planes to a glass smooth high gloss using Novus polish and an old t shirt. All comments are welcomed. Please click on the pictures for closeups.
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
Nice job! I love the look of those jets, and You did such a great job on them.

Beautiful!
Excellent work on your Deltas! The Deuce and the Six both look fabulous. Shiny finish, very restrained weathering, great detail painting. All around super looking pair!
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

Thanks John! Really appreciate your help with the brake part.
WOW such patience polishing by hand. I am attempting to achieve the same results while building the 1/48 F-18 Blue Angels . After seeing your build of this aircraft I just had to try it but I didn't realize that you polished the paint by hand so Thanks for the input my friend.
I took a sabatical from modeling because I have been working on my 1/1 Bass boat for weeks now and just about got it done and running well so maybe it's back to modeling for me.
I'm finally retired. Now time I got, money I don't.
Great work on these delta-wing birds! Very clean and nicely shined. I may just do the Novus shine treatment on the -106 that I'll be starting soon.
Great to hear from you Jay and trust you are doing good. Thanks for the nice comments on my builds. I did two Blue Ángels commissions and polished the MM enamel to a glass smooth finish using Novus. Just make sure to shoot the paint a bit more thinned than usual to get a really even finish then some clear enamel gloss to offer extra meat for the polishing. And let the paint cure for at least 5-7 days otherwise the paint will gum up.
Aggieman Great work on these delta-wing birds! Very clean and nicely shined. I may just do the Novus shine treatment on the -106 that I'll be starting soon.
Thanks Aggie. Please read my procedure in the previous post to Jay and you will love the results.
These are probably my favorite century series aircraft. Well done!

Those look awesome! Delta winged craft are a favorite of mine. I have both of those models in my stash. I can only hope mine turn out half as nice as yours. Good work!

Good to see the 49th FIS 'Green Eagles' get some love on the F-106. They were the last active 106 squadron, and I have lived my entire life in the area of their now closed home base of Griffiss AFB, Rome NY.
OHHHHH they’re SHINY! Amazing polishing on those well built models PJ. I’ll have to find something I can polish now...
Steve
Really nice builds! Love the finish.

Very clean and speedy..

Thanks for the great comments guys. I really enjoyed working on these two Deltas. The pit details on both were outstanding.
