Weird! But anyhow, you're right, this kid does help one find their "interest" again!  I put mine together a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it! Yours looks fantastic!

This is a great *** kit, goes together easy, good fit and quick build.

Scheme is painted with Hataka Acrylic and Lacquer, as I can't get all the lacquer colours, I bought a couple of acrylic sets (red line airbrush series). The acrylic is a nightmare to airbrush, even with retarder and heavily thinned it clogs the needle tip every few seconds. The lacquer went down alright, but I don't see what the fuss is about this brand, does not come close to Gunze or AK Real Color in my opinion, but maybe Hataka has more suitable colours?

Weathered with Flory dark dirt wash and oil paints, final coat is Vallejo Matte Varnish (still the flattest clear I have used) EZ line for antennae wire.

I highly recommend the kit though if you want an easy build
