Humbrol 32 is a closer match to the Engine Gray Color, aside from being Matt rather than Gloss

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Yes, "engine gray" would be correct for U.S. Navy helicopters of the period. The Federal Standard color number is FS 16081, a glossy color when first applied, but probably weathered to a semimatte sheen.

I hve a 1.48 MRC UH 34 I want to do in the Italian navy scheme, basically the same color as the US navy of what appears to be either a dark grey and dayglow of blue....I cant quite tell and the kit is worthess with this.

I have read somwhere that Valejo "engine grey" is correct, This would roughly compare to Humbrol Extra dark sea grey.

Just to confirm, it is grey and not blue??

Thanx
