Academy 1/72 A-10 Finished
Posted by PhilliePhan79 on Monday, May 4, 2020 12:32 PM

Finished my first aircraft since returning to the hobby.  Academy's 1/72 A-10.  I'm happy with the results.  Going to try some aftermarket detail and PE soon.  Thanks for looking!

That, sir, is one lovely Hawg!

(I have a certain fondness for the type...since the Maryland ANG flies them over my house on a semi-regular basis.)

Well done.

Same here.  I live near Ft. Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania.  A-10s fly in for live ammo testing regularly.  Had to explain to my daughter the other day what the brrrrt sound was that we were hearing.  About 10 miles away and still loud and clear.

WOW. That is a great job on an A-10. The ground pounders love that airplane because it does a great job of air support. When Iraq was fleeing Kuwait up the only route out of the country the A-10s devistated the Iraqi forces. The B-52s sprinkled the area off the side of the roads with mines so the Iraqi armor and troops could not run off into the desert. The A-10s went to work and the devisation was phenominal. Yes sir that is a sweet representation of a hard working airplane.
