No tool does a great job all by itself. You need to learn to use it by practice. I would not start with fancy techniques until you master the basics. This is particularly true with airbrushing. You will need to find air pressures, mixing ratios, types of paint that works for you. I'd start with a kit that only requires one color, use a spray can primer, and perfect that one-color paint job. Don't start with trying to learn two new techniques on a single kit.
