Goblin on the Way

I couldn't help it. It looks so cool in the new FSM!!! Should be here by Fri. I picked it up at Squadron for $25.00. It looks like it will be a quick build (I'm hoping!!!) I'll update ya with pics and such when it happens

The real challenge would be building the same plane in 1/72! I know there's a 1/72 scale kit available, but I forget who makes it.

I've been fascinated by the Goblin since I first read about it when I was in high school (late '80s). I've seen some footage of their unsucessful, and sucessful, attempts to hook up to a trapeze hung from a B-29. It's pretty cool, but I can see why the concept didn't go too far.

Regards,

-Drew

MPM makes the 1/72 scale Goblin-I have one lurking in my closet. The Convair Pogo is another fun one.

Yeah, I got the pogo half built in a box somewhere.
The goblin looks like one of those hasegawa egg models - or is it the other way around?
Either way, it looks like a fun x-plane to build.

Was your Pogo a Toko kit? I had some real fit problems with mine but wrestled it together with hair dryers and hot water.

Forget 1/72. If I happen upon the Hobbycraft FICON B36 or finally order one, my Goblin will be 1/144!!!

LOL, would love to check out that Cassibill. Though for $36.00, the price doesn't reflect the scale!!!

Lito, No, I'm going to do straight out of the box. But there are a few resing pieces included in the kit, such as the cockpit and the cradle.

Hey Kik... I can't wait to see that. I thought the same thing as I read that article. Let me know what you think of the kit. Also... off topic I have a few questions that I need to email you on... would you mind??

I don't remember unfortunately. But it sounds like the reason why I stopped on it so long ago.
