Thanks Baron!

They were done in the 1990s, using the Unicraft kit’s box art as reference.  So no tears were shed when A.B.&K’s kit came out.

Did you scratchbuild yours before or after the kit was available?  I ask, just to see if you ran into that modeling curse, that as soon as you scratchbuild a subject that hasn't been kitted anywhere, someone will bring out a kit Wink

Seriously, those are some excellent scratches!

This was posted over in the recent acquisitions thread, but to avoid spamming it with 1946 Luftwaffery, I'll start an independent thread.  Anyway, here's the pics of what you get:

And here are my two attempts to scratchbuild one.

The small one was a mistake in scaling - I took the published overall length to the castering wheels, but it was actually supposed to be to the end of the fuselage!  Waaah.  So I immediately started a correctly scale one, but got only as far as you see here.  The fire in me had died, and it got consigned to the Shelf of Doom.

And after emerging from its Purple Power bath, here is the A.B.&K kit with its predecessors.
