Early '60s, bare aluminum for the major finish?

Are you building the old 1/48 Monogram A-37? I started that kit decades ago and never finished it.

I found the patch I was looking for! It's the the orange "John Black" T-37 flight patch.

The boarding ladder needs to be painted olive green.

I am working on the T-37 kit.Actually I am using the A-37 kit, and scratched a new tailpipe and eliminated weaons mounts and some of the antennas.

I intend to finish in the scheme from the early 60s at Reese.  That requires flourescent red.  I have a really old bottle of the needed paint.  Hope it still works.

I originally had the T-38 with both canopy's open, but I decided to go with the solo look.

I remember the boarding ladder being white, but that was a long time ago. I'll dig out my photo's and check. I also have the wheel chocks, I just forgot them. Thanks.

I like your idea about putting the 38 at an angle! I think I made diorama novice mistake by making everything square. If I had angles the ramp lines and the taxi lines I think it would have given the scene more "life". It should not be too hard to re-work the ramp.

Just a suggestion, but angle the T-38 nose towards the lower right corner, away from the T-37 passing behind... and yes, maybe a portable light stand to the left, between the two aircraft.

I’d also suggest the rear canopy open as well, and the boarding ladder in yellow.... with some apparent wear... and probably some wheel chocks.
