Well folks, it's been a bit since I've posted anything on the forum! The last few months have been unpredictable and tense. I hope you are all safe and healthy in these trying times!
I was furloughed from my job at the end of March, and didn't go back to work until the end of May. It kept me safe, and it also kept me busy. With my wife being furloughed as well, we had all sorts of time to take care of household projects! And of course, I made time for my models. I started working on two kits and several miniatures for a table top war game while I was off, and I finished one of the kits several weeks ago. I would have posted photos earlier but we were without a computer for a while and I was sick and tired of using the ipad we have. All that has changed as we now have a new laptop in the house.
I built the Airfix Kate in 1:72 scale. I really had a good time building this kit. It was the second kit that I've ever used an airbrush on, and I think I did an ok job with it! I had a bit of an issue with the decals for the flaps slivering, but I did what I could with them and I'm happy with the result. Enjoy the photos and let me know what you think! The bottle cap in the photos is for scale. The level of detail in the cockpit parts was incredible.
And yes, that stray piece of liquid mask on the bombardier's window was removed after this photo was taken. Oops!
