Kawasaki Ki-61-Id, Tamiya 1/48

Hi folks,

I started this new kit since a month. I only added some details on the cockpit sidewalls and rudder belts. The only aftermarket addition is the prepainted PE seat belts from Eduard.

I added some handles in the windshield made form stretched sprue.

I made rivet marks with an old wach gear and started to paint. I primed with Tamiya's gloss black for later spray with aluminum, dural and dark aluminum from Alclad laquers.

I masked and painted the markings with Vallejo acrylics, they seemed to me a bit bright, specially the red, somewhat fluo red. Later I spayed freehand the camouflage spots with Tamiya's IJA green acrylic.

At least, a minutes ago I finished this beautiful model.

I hope you like it.

Regards,

Pablo

Pablo,

Really well done on a cool looking japanese aircraft. I've always liked the Tony, it looks fast just sitting still. The paint chipping looks incredible. Bravo!

Wow, that is superb work.  Paint chipping really stands out, but what truly amazes me is your airbrush work with the green splotching.  And I agree, the Tony looks fast sitting still.
