Toad, i hate to say this, but i really screwed up that Avenger bigtime. I didnt see the turret base on the instructions and after i put the fuselages together, there it was...I also dont have a good fit on the forward fuselage for some reason, so i ordered another kit. I guess i will be needing that extra EZ mask after all. But thanks for the offer to buy it, Toad...

Hold the presses huskerguy! I need to get me one of these EZ masks for the TBM also. I'd hate to order two myself. If your interested and don't use the other set, I'd buy it from you. Give me an E-mail (click on the profile for my address and info.) if your interested and can help me out.

I may also have something for trade if your looking for something else.

Thanks,

Toad

Huskerguy,

That's a good question, I've never used them before. I checked squadron mail order with no luck. I did find a place that carries the entire line of EZ MASK stuff. They sell the set for the AM 1/48 TBM for $4.99. Oops, I almost forgot, you can find them at DHCinc.com. Click on the EZ MASK icon on the left side of the page. I'm sure others carry them but, this was the first place I found on my search. I also see these sets in hobby shops from time to time.

Darren...where would i order a set of masks for the canopy on the Avenger...that sounds like much easier than to try to do it manually...particularly when i am not adept at that sort of thing.

I hate to be the one to ruin a party, but please don't solicit on these forums huskerguy.

..bygons... I too recently purchased this kit, simply great. I plan on building it after I finish my PBY Catalina. I purchased another set of decals for this plane (from Accurate Minatures) for .99. I particularly like the 3-color shceme of white undersides, intermediate blue, and dark blue tops.

If your looking for some excellent resources on this kit, try the aircraft resource center: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/

Huskerguy,

Thats a great kit you have. I'm currently working on one myself. I'm in the middle of building the ball turret. I think i'm going to order a set of masks for all that glass. It would take forever to cut out all those by hand. I built mine straight out of the box. The kit is so good that it looks great without any aftermarket items. Spend the time giving the interior a good wash and drybrushing, you won't be disappointed.

Lee, that is super nice of you, but i dont know if i have advanced far enough yet, to try to cut up the wings on a model. What do you use to cut the flaps out?

Hey, huskerguy
I make a resin flap set for the Accurate Miniatures TBM. If you're interested, I'll send you some photos. They're very good.

Cheers, LeeTree

I just received my TBM Avenger Accurate Miniatures kit today and the detail is incredible! This one will take a while to build, but i think i may wait until i get the spray booth up and running. I may hand brush some of the interior parts, ie. inside fuselage halves, and cockpit stuff. But i am really looking forward to seeing this one completed.
