Welcome to the forum, glad to have you with us!

You might check out Kitsworld Decals...as I recall, they had a 1/32 P-51 Mustang codes & numbers sheet which included yellow serials. They should be about the right size for your needs.

The 'stars and bars' should be easier to source. As mentioned above, you'll probably have to go with 1/32 scale, since aircraft choices in 1/35 (particularly for WW2 era) are fairly limited.

Asking the obvious -- which tends to be my specialty -- can you just cut the stripes away, and use the roundels from the kit?

In any case, good luck!

Greg

You won't find anything in 1/35 as that is an armor scale.  Look at 1/32 decals as the difference is minor.

WIP:  Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo

Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea

Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group

Dan,

I just checked eBay and didn't find anything in yellow, but that doesn't mean that they're not out there.  I'd look at various decal printers such as Microscale, Printscale, and Techmod.  I know they offer them in 1/72 and 1/48.  If you have a printer, you can print your own if you know what font to use.

Introducing Myself and Asking for Advice (Bronco L-4)

Been out of this hobby for over two decades and just astonished by the variety of kits available these days and also don't know what's availble out there!  Hence, my joining this forum in search of help.

My grandfather was an L-4 Grasshopper pilot during WWII - he was an artillery spotter in China - and when I saw the 1/35 Bronco L-4 kit I decided I had to finally model my grandfather's plane.

So, I need decals to make this model look like my grandfther's plane and 1/35 is not a common aircraft scale.

What I'm trying to find are yellow aircraft tail numbers about 4mm tall and American roundels (stars and bars) about 34mm x 26mm since the ones that came with the kit are integrated into invasion stripes my grndfather's plane did not have.

Thanks for any help you can give in hunting these down.

-Dan
