1/72 Zvezda c-37 off the shelf of doom.
I won this kit in a raffle at one of the shows a few years ago. Unlike other kits by Zvezda that I've built, this one gave me all kinds of trouble. I thought that the instructions being in Russian would be a big problem but they weren't. They were real easy to use. The parts, on the other hand, were a mess. Full of bad fitting pieces and bad molding. Decided to build it a little at a time so it wouldn't get the best of me. Afterthe dull coat cures, it's ready for the canopy, landing gear doors and pitot tube to be finally complete. The canopy was all wavey. Had to do a lot of sanding and polishing on it to make it passable. The decals are terrible. Most of them broke up even though I put a couple coats of decal bonder on the rest of them after the first couple came apart. I also built a 1/144 of this model quite a while ago and it came out pretty good.I thought of trashing it a while ago but as I did more work on it I thought it would be OK for a display of the two of them in my cabinet.

I took out a 1/72 Mig-3 to show the comparison in size between a WWII fighter and the present day fighters.

When you see the link of the C-37, check out the small box on the left side under the Zvezda label. I guess it's a good thing I won the kit and didn't buy it.
