Posted by Mrchntmarine on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 3:56 PM

So im not sure how to so this....  Does PE3 get folded over the top of the seat and PE6  ends get bent and attached to the front of the back rest?

Are these parachute harness?  I notice the long pull handle on the r side of PE3

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

William

Well, I'm not sure... I'd check out some walk around to see what it should look like in 1:1.

Hope this helps, have a nice day

Paweł

Those are all seatbelt/shoulder harness parts.  The quick release is so you can get out of the plane in a hurry on the ground (or any time).  I suspect the #6 part goes on back of seat and connects to 3 near the top of the seat- I think the two straps of three go just over the seat and bend down.

If the Y part (6) came through the front of the seat it would not restrain your shoulders very much in a crash.

Tks Don. I just followed the link I found....  One of the things throwing me off is that all the straps are very long.  Also, on part PE6, I would think that if it were to go behind the seat, the horizontal back seat cushion crease should show through it??  Right?

Anyhow, I ended up cutting a bunch off 6 and put in the front while turning under the 2 ends and put 3 over it. In hindsite, i guess if I put 6 on the back and draped it over the top and turned the ends down I would have had 3 in the front and over the top and the long single strap would have then gone over the single strap of 6....

Keep on modeling!

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

William

Tks Pawel...  That seat cushion crease being over PE6 threw me off too.  If the line/crease had been over the PE6 i might have been more inclined right off to see that the part should go on the rear of the seat.  Oh well....  Live and learn!

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

William
