Nice job John.  What a hotrod.  I had to lookup Yippee - #5000 that was repainted after the mascot shots and shipped out to the Pacific.

Did this one just because.  Out of the box, kit decals.  I have an August 1944 Flying magazine that has this P-38 on the cover.  Painted with Gunze Red Madder for the vermilion color it was, not sure there is as much orange in it as there should be.  Dunno.
