stikpusher goldhammer Hopefully they'll issue an RF4C based off this one. Just about the only varient not offered in 1/48. Yes, I know the RF4E is out there, but requires a lot of backdating. Testors did the RF-4C years ago... it's a rough one. I have had mine sidelined for many years. And I'm pretty that Hasegawa has released one as well, or is theirs a RF-4B?

Yes, Hasegawa's was an RF-4B. Pretty gaudy paint job, too as I recall.
Hasegawa has all the kits you mentioned in 1/48. All the reccee variations, except the early thin wing rf-4b, which Tamiya could definitely do based on this new kit.
A 1/24 Phantom would be ginormous! The 1/32 Phantoms are big enough! I've got a 1/32 G on hold waiting for more shelf space to be constructed. And that will be soon. Woohoo!
Very cool that you worked on the real deal!
F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!
U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!
N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Worked the C's for over 2 1/2 years as an ECM tech, at Udorn and Shaw. Fell in love with the old girl.
Just don't have the dexterity to build in 1/72, and just barely in 1/48. Have the old Revell kits of the C, E, and G, and the Tamiya C/D, all in 1/32.
It would be huge, but a modern tool in 1/24, of the E and RF's might be a decent seller.
Yes, the main difference between the B & C RF versions is the wing. The B had the thin wing for the narrow wheels, while the C had the bulged wing for the wide wheels. Both types used the later curved and early flat faceted camera sections. And of course the refueling systems, the C would have the flying boom receptacle, while the B had the probe for probe and drogue refueling.
Looks like italeri did a 1/48 back when, and that hase's were all in 1/72. Suspect that the testors was the italeri mold.
Most all versions call out b,c,and e models.
Would be nice to have a modern technology kit in the b and c versions as they were fairly simular between USMC and USFS, as far as I know.
Sure hope they release a 1/72 scale version!
On the Bench: Too Much
For some reason my stash does not include a 48th scale Phantom. I believe I will need to rectify that problem (although I did build Tamiya's 32nd scale F-4J about a decade ago, probably the reason I've never bothered with a smaller scale kit).
I'm looking foward to this baby. Oh yeah!
Yep, the ZM kit will be a treat. Enjoy !
tomwatkins45 Tojo, the ZM F-4 builds up beautifully, and is a lot of fun to build. I'm a serious Phantom Phanatic, so I've done two of them so far, as well as Monogram's, Hasegawa's and Academy's. That said, I'm really looking forward to Tamiya's.

Thank you,I think I will be happy with it.The last phantoms I built were a couple of the classic Hasegawa kits around 2000
Figures,I just got a Zoukei Mura Phantom
First I've seen this. Thanks for sharing something that's really good news.
It looks like a good one..
Nick.
