Hobbycraft P-59 Part 3
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, March 28, 2003 9:01 PM
Hey Guys,
I just finished building the thing. Not a bad kit, but it's got it's little quirks. 1st, the instructions DO NOT show anything about the placement of the intake cones(parts 18 and 20), attach them in step 4. 2nd, the panel lines on the connection of the rear fuselage to the front fuselage do not match. (have fun with putty, Mr. Surfacer, sandpaper, and a scriber!) And 3rd, make sure to add weight to the nose. (luckily, there's enough of a gap in the cockpit you can drop sinkers in to weigh it down.) 4th, If you want panel line detail, rescribe, as it's really lighly done. I've decided to undershade it before giving it it's NMF.

So far, like I said, not a bad kit. It's not up to Tamiya's standards, but close to Hasegawa's standards.
