She looks good in a modern Luftwaffe livery.

Nice work on a really unappreciated aircraft.

I've built my share of Vac-formed kits and this one looks nice!

As an asside I flew C-23's in Germany from 1985 to 1988. Most of us thought the Air Force should have bought the Transall instead of the Shorts. It is/was a much more capable aircraft for the C-23's mission, but politics required that Short Brothers got the sale.

What country will you decal it as?

Nope!

In flying the "Falcons" from the Factory to L.R.Arkansas for mods they were all that way. Makes sense. When you rotate under full power where does your body go? Back into the seat! Naturally you would be more comfortable pulling back, not forward at that point!

Very interestinf build, I tried one vack form model and gave up on it.

The 160 holds a special place for me as in 1990/91 I was a loadmaster on them in the SA Air Forece. The 160 is a better platform in almost every respect except for the load capacity when operating "hot and high" like we did. There the 130 out preformed it in summer.

No not really ...dont forget that the kit includes templates for fuselage formers/bulkhead and the  plastic is.40 so she is pretty sturdy.

Good work Phil. Are Vac kits pretty fragile?  I would see myself squeezing the fuselage and ruining my hard work!

Hey GMorrison, think about it.  While in the seat and using full power to take off, Americans have to push forward to make it go faster, while inertia is pounding your body backward.  I think the French have it right, because it's much easier to have your hand going in the same direction as the rest of your body.

I love that model subject.  Like many Euro designs, it was used in very interesting situations that most people have never heard of.  Nice work and I'm looking forward to the markings.
