A Cessna 172 to become a T-41 Mescalero...

Jeaton's Aurora 1/48 XFV-1 is my inspiration for this project. I bought this model from a vendor at Sun n Fun maybe 10 years ago, before I ever thought about getting back into the hobby. It's one of those models you screw together instead of glue. As you can see, it's been sitting on a shelf for a very long time. The plan is to take the model apart and clean it up then remove the green and yellow paint. After that, paint it in an NMF finish like the T-41s that were based at Valdosta Airport when I was assigned to the 3550 PTW, Moody AFB, back in the late '60s. Should be fun.

Thanks, Mike. At least I don't have to undo any glue joints for this. Just take out some screws and I have a pile of parts.
