Google F111 pave tack.  There is a utube video on one on an "F" model.  Rotating cradle in the bomb bay.  Said retracted when not in use.

Note:. Looks like the rotating head was at the aft end when hung on the aircraft.

Hi all- wondering if we have any F111 experts in the house.  I'm working on an Academy F111F and I've got an Eduard pave tack pod that I'm expecting to modify a bit to fit the F111. Does anybody have any visual reference for exactly where it goes? I've seen a couple pictures of real ones in profile with the pod exposed, but not anything that perfectly depicts where/how it should be mounted.  Anybody got anything for me?  Thanks!!!

Have a look at this thread.  The first post from the member named mrvark has a link to a drawing of how Pave Tack mounts in the weapons bay, along with some photos.  The OP of that thread also has some WIP photos of his solution that may give you some ideas.

Since you're building a Vark, I also highly recommend a set of seamless intakes from Dmold Modelworks.

They ship from Russia, and the owner of the web-site, Dmitri, provides excellent service in addition to an awesome product.  Takes about 2 weeks to get from Russia to the states.

Ozmods also has some great stuff that you can buy from various on-line retailers.  The big one for me was their undercarriage set.  You have to modify it to work with the seamless intakes, but it can be done.  I managed to do it, as well as giving my Vark an open weapons bay.

Back in the old days with the "A" models on our base, they would mount the ECM pods, usually two, one behind the other, lower center line.  It is possible that they would place the pod in the same sopt so they could keep teh wing pylons open for weapons.  I haven't even seen a real 111 since the early 80s and that one was clean.

Sorry, that's about the best I can do for you.
