Hi Friends,

Just completed another colourful German Biplane for my collection.

I love "Knights of the Sky" WW1 plane

Flown by Lt.Eugen Siempelkamp, Jasta 29, Gondecourt, France, July 1918

The wings were covered with five-colour "Lozenge" Flugzeugstoff. Siempelkamp's personal markings
was the paper dragon as Eugen got several paper dragons from his father's Chinese business partners as
gift when he was a child.

Gorgeous build!

"...failure to do anything because someone else can do better makes us rather dull and lazy..."

Mortal as I am,I know that I am born for a day.  But when I follow at my pleasure the serried multitude of the stars in their circular course, my feet no longer touch the Earth...

Beautiful!  And a very interesting story behind that symbol.

Hello

I just stummbled over this excellent Model.

Eugen Siempelkamp came from my hometown Krefeld. He survived WW1

and raised a big company together with his brother Ewald. He scored a total

of 5 victories and lived up to the age of 94 !
