Hi Guys,
I recently bought an opened(bottom half of box missing, but multiple bags still sealed) 1/48 Trumpeter Wellington Mk. Ic kit # 02808 from a "questionable" hobby store. The kit appeared to be complete but when I got home I found out that 3 bags of sprues were missing. I know, "Buyer Beware" and I know that it's my fault for trusting the shop opener. What I would like to do is try to buy, from Trumpeter, the missing parts. Does anyone know who I should contact and has anyone had any experience with such company?

So Mr Tom It sounds like you maybe ready for a Journey. A couple of years ago I needed 5 extra life rafts for my USS Hornet. I sent in an email request, they located the part, charged me $2 for the part and $8 to ship it, after about 4 months I received the rafts on a complete sprue of extra parts.
I do not know how they will handle a complete bag. You may have to identify each part number if you cannot identify the bag. You can start with joanna@trumpeter-china.com. Joanna was there in 2019. If that does not work you may have to get ceative, ie. Customer service@… I hope you have a lot of patience. Good luck!

I actually shot an email off to joanna and to Stevens International. I've heard from Stevens already but they're passing my request on to their consumer dept. so we'll see where it goes from there. Thanks for your suggestion and I knew that this was going to be a long ardous process.

Thanks,

Thanks Keavdog! I'm hoping that she'll be able to help. It looks like an amazing kit so I hope that I'll be able to get the missing parts and complete it.
