Freehand came with a pencil?
Posted by Monogram Madness on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 11:04 PM

Hey Guys,

Just curious as I watched a youtube video today and someone tried this out.  Ive got a spitfire in 48 scale currently on the bench and am considering using a pencil to draw in the camo lines on the primer.  In the past ive always used templates but im thinking this may be fater and a bit fun...and i like the softer line between the colors.  Anyone try this?  How did it go?

Perfection is having fun and relaxing...not building the perfect model.

Drawing in you lines on the primer is no biggie. I began using it to freehand my camos and it works great.

Yep. Old-school technique.

This would be a good subject for the techniques or painting and airbrushing section.
