I built this kit for Bish's Falklands GB. I really enjoyed the GB, as I always do with those he runs, but this kit is not good.
For anyone wondering what is Tamiya's worst kit, this would be it. The only quality it has is the fit is not too bad. The detail is very poor with raised panel lines that simply fade to nothingness for no reason. The pit is a seat and a decal, nothing more in there. I put the pilot in just to fill it out. He too, was not much more than a blob. I looked at the old Monogram kit and it is far better, and that's saying something.
If you are looking at this kit, don't. Get anyone else's kit, it will be far better. Too bad that there is NO aftermarket for it.
I attempted to improve the kit some, but refused to spend any money on it. I fully rescribed it, which really helped and tried to put on a decent enough paint job. It came out better than I had invisioned, but it's not my best work or effort. I kinda stopped caring about it 15 min after starting it.
Anyway, here it is. Keep your distance and don't look too long, it has plently of flaws.
