Suyata Sopwith Camel with pilot.

A snap-kit with parts already coloured, decals and a pilot that needs to be painted. I can't paint eyes, but surprisingly there are two pairs on the decal sheet.

The pilot is in the paint shop.

No paint!?  That looks pretty darn good - and what a fun project.   So it does come with Roy Brown.  Awesome - eye decals sounds like a really good idea.  Now let's see them in 1/48 scalle Stick out tongue

Thanks,

John

Well here's the pilot out of the paint shop! He's holding what I thought was a small dog, but looking closer at the box art, I realise it's a grey and white cat!

I'll sort out some staged photo's tomorrow, plane and pilot together.

Cool.  A cat on an airfield... hmmm.   I wonder if there's some story behind that like Roy was a cat lover or something.  Eye decals are awesome!

Thanks,

John

Thanks guys, I had to mount the eyes on a tiny drop of enamel clear to get them to stay put.

Excellent work, Pat! YesBeerYesBeer

It's interesting to me that a kit in the 'egg' or 'toon' style appears to have more interior detail than some of the 'mainstream' replica kits. Big Smile

Not meant as a criticism...but any plans for rigging?

Thanks guys. I don't do rigging of any kind, I have no knowledge of how to. Someone once said about using fishing reel but we have no fishing equipment shops around here. Two went early on Covid lockdown.

Gamera, they have a few other models in this range.

Yes the interior detail is good only perhaps due to the size of the kit, LARGE!

Thanks Pat!

Looked them up and they do Rickenbacker's SPAD plus a number of other cool Great War aircraft.

And Real G's 'Madness in the Streets' Road Warrior type car. As well as hobby knife holders designed to look like samauri sword displays. Very eclectic product line...

Yes Gamera I've tried to find the 'Madness in the Streets' kit but there aren't any this side of the pond! The Suyata factory is in Ukraine I'm told!
