F/A-18E cockpit question
Posted by rooster513 on Sunday, September 25, 2022 8:44 AM

I'm looking to add some more detail to a Revell 1/48 F/A18E I'm working on. Does anyone have a good picture of the deck behind the seat? I have not had any luck finding one.

Thanks!

Andy

Andy:

The only reference I've got in my files is an Alamy photo -- great angle, but unfortunately hardly a closeup. Still, it gives a feel for wiring colors in the avionics bay behind the seat.

If you haven't done so already, try checking in the 'walkarounds' section of sites like Hyperscale. There might be a good closeup tucked away somewhere. Wink

Cheers

Greg

Might have to go with a book on this one.  This one gets pretty good reviews, and the review that IPMS did showed a page in the book that had full color photos of the cockpit, which includes the rear deck.

I realy like the Reid Publications book.

Here's the area in question as pictured in that book.  I hope that is sufficient credit to avoid copyright problems.

Eagle - I have been eyeballing the detail and scale book. Good to know it has that picture.

MJY- that picture is perfect. I'll have to look into that book and others by them.

Thank you!
