I'm not a beginner, but I'm about a hundred builds away from expert, and just barely qualify as a builder of models that look sorta good -- from a distance of six or eight feet! The important thing is that I'm pleased with them, and they sure look better than the models I was building when I was 15, thanks in large part to Finescale discussions. Anyway, there some excellent tips in that post And I'll be using them, assuming I can remember them!

Bob

On the bench: A diorama to illustrate the crash of a Beech T-34B Mentor which I survived in 1962 (I'm using Minicraft's 1/48 model of the Mentor), and a Pegasus model of the submarine Nautilus of 20,000 Leagues Under the Seas fame.
