Airfix 1/48 Ju 87B Stuka - Complete
Posted by GreenTerrorz on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 12:01 PM

I recently wrapped up this build on the JU-87 Stuka flown in Derna, Libya (North Africa) during the summer of 1941.

This Airfix kit came together beautifully, with only a few minor hiccups. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in building a Ju 87 in the near future.

In addition to the Airfix kit, I also purchased Eduard PE and the North African decal sheet.

This is the first build where I went heavy on the pre-shading, and think for my next build; I won't go quite as dark.

Cheers!

Looks great.  Wicked looking bird!  Glad to hear the Airfix kit is a winner.  I've got the Hasegawa G in the stash, but intend to build at least one more.

Thanks,

John

Beautiful build!  I really like the desert scheme and your subtle panel line shading.  I've alwas liked the early war or as some would say "failures" of the German air force like the Stuka, the Me-110, or the early 109s.  Great job!  Happy Holidays!

Stuk-tastic! Always love those desert 'bent-winged birds!'
