Lindberg 1/48 Avenger.. better kit than I expected.

Picked this kit up at Ollie's for five bucks Lindberg kits can be  less than stellar but this kit surprised me!The quality and fit were quite good and the designers solved the often difficult problem of how to put in the turret. The kit designers avoided the problem by having you install the turret before joining the fuselage halves . Of course this causes masking difficulties but they can be dealt with. I cut the wings apart to allow for folding wings.

Nicely done! You did a fine job on the less than stellar kit of the Turkey. Kudos for cutting and folding the wings!

Yes I taped off the areas to be cut and put a new xacto blade in and carefully scribed into they were cut .

I'm not familiar with the kit but your build of it looks great.

As Stikpusher mentioned very nice touch with the folded wing modification.

It's always more satisfying when you turn a mutt into a show dog. I like the Atlantic Scheme too!

Nice finish on that classic kit!  It goes back to the late 50s.

Even though it's old, that one is on my list.  i just need to find the old instructions for how the stick and pedals are supposed to actuate the control surfaces!

The stick is present but my kit instructions do not indicate how to attach thread or wires to the control surfaces .

That is not a feature of the kit.

Nice build Eugene! Toast Toast

I have a question for you. I think I already know the answer but I'll ask anyway. How do you get such great work done in such short periods of time. You just finish one and a few days later there is another.

My thought is that you must have a shop full of 6 inch aliens working on the builds around the clock 7 days a week with you standing over them to make sure all the work is done to your specifications. Wink

All kidding aside, you do awesome work my friend.  Congratulations on another great one. Toast

I mean, for five bucks, that's a steal.  Even for a Lindberg.  I love to see old birds built up right!
