Looks like a fine job you did to me. I also used stencils for the first time on my Spit and also found it difficult to get them lined up......expecially the 4 colour roundels.

But having used them this time and found the results to be much better than decals I think this is a road I will be travelling on more often......so hopefully it will become easier having done it once before.

Again, great job.

Stay safe........Steve

Thanks for looking and the kind words Patrick.  I'm trying to achieve more faded paint techniques in the finish.  This has been a fun project and I'll certainly post more as we get to the finish line.
Cheers,

Paul

WPW - I wish you hadn't mentioned that you think there are imperfections, I've been looking and can't find any. It all looks great, and the slightly "blotchy" effect of the main colors, (if that's what it's called,) makes for a totally realistic wartime military appearance.

Very nice work, I'll look forward to seeing it finished, thanks for the post and photos.

There's a bit of a learning curve with painting the stencils.  There a little tricky to align.  A little flimsy even with transfer tape.  Try and get them on in one go.  Here are some results.  Not perfect but decent enough.  Painting the 4 color roundel was a challenge but I think it turned out ok.
