Finished this Skyray. My favorite subject for the last 2 years has been 50's and 60's era jet fighters. With every build I try to gain a new skill or a new product to add to the arsenal. With this build I was focusing on oil weathering. But I also discovered MRP Laquers! This build got off to rough start in the paint booth. Had to strip it and start over. The MRPs have now become my go-to paint.
Here she is:
PhilliePhan79, Your Skyray look splendid! It's always fun to lear new techniques and products. Nice work!

Hi, Philly -
Your delta wing looks great, a very well built and nicely finished airplane. Thanks for details and photos.

back when, that was to us civilians , the cat's meow. Plus it was beautiful by the days standards, To civilians anyway. Thank You for the memory! Nice job by the way!
HI PhilliePhan79, that is a beautiful Skyray. I like the panel lines and the oil stains. They have a nice balance of visibility and subtlety. Thanks for sharing!

I appreciate your observation Burrito. That is exactly the look that i was after. Also realized that I missed the underbelly shots. Updated the original post.
Thanks missileman. Photography has never been a strength. I just added some better lighting at the bench. One of those Quad LED thingys that replace a regular bulb (As seen on TV). Great for the builds and certainly is helping the pictures.
Very nice build!
Stay safe.
