This kit was a real gem. Its a top of the range 1/32 Corsair and its every bit the quality for the price I paid for it. If you're going to splash out on something that will really provide a centrepiece for your collection, you can't go past this one. I thought the Tamiya 1/48 F-14A tomcat was good... this is better..Detail - IncredibleFit - perfectInstructions - ExcellentDecals - too thick, cartograf are better (only flaw for Tamiya kits damn them...)Challenge - requires patience but its a very enjoyable buildResult - Very satisfiedFor the paints I've used a mix of Tamiya XF17 Sea Blue, XF8 Flat Blue and XF2 Flat White in about a 5:2:1 ratio. The assembly turns out to be multiple kits in one. There is the cockpit assemblyThere is the engine assembly, which I added some fuse wire to as the kit didn't reflect all the pipes that are quite prominent for radial engines. The undercarriageAnd the final finished product. Its been a very pleasing build and being a carrier aircraft I didn't give it the typical pacific island hard weathered look, just a bit of rough marks here and there. I hope you enjoy viewing as much as i enjoyed building.cheersBT
On the neverending quest for the perfectly built model kit.
Hi, B.T.
Your Corsair is an exceptional build, a fine tribute to a great warhorse. The office came out really well, the finish compliments your efforts and your build quality is first rate.
Thanks for the photos and details, I enjoyed seeing your well turned out model.

Hi BT, that is an amazing and inspirational build. I am returning to the hobby after a long break, and I will be looking at builds like yours for ways to improve. The cockpit, engine, landing gear, paint, and weathering are awesome. It's also interesting to see the impressive results from Tamiya acrylic, which I am planning to try on future builds. Thanks for sharing!
Outstanding build BT!
That pit and engine are amazing. Great photos too!
Stay safe.
