Hi everyone, first of all Happy Holidays!
I've just started to build a recent release of the old 1/72 Revell Stearman/Kaydet and would like to improve some aspects (engine, interior, wheels); however when searching online (including in ScaleMates database) I couldn't find much information about builds of this model kit, and even less bibliography (books. magazine articles) about the actual aircraft to use as reference material. This last point is concerning, given the historical significance of the type, the large number of airframes built (over 10,000), and the large number of WW2 and post-war users (including many still flying worldwide in private hands). Also not too many aftermarket items seem to have existed so far (eg: decent wheels to replace the model's ones) and most of those are old and probably out of production.
Can anyone please help with some tips on how to improve this kit a bit, and suggest relevant books and articles in mangazines or online that I could use as reference material?
