Thanks!I painted the spirals by first painting the spinners white added masking tape and then airbrushing them semi gloss black.

Looking real good from here Eugene! Sitting on the edge of the chair waiting to see the finished bird.

Stay safe.

You're more of a man than I, I'd have never tackled a vac-form kit!

But your results look really good! Looking forward to seeing how she turns out!

I went to the Bay to find spinners and props and I found a set of quick boost for 20 bucks .Then I found a complete Promodeler kit for 14 so I went with that!

Wet sanded the primer with 320 grit and layed down some primer. Not perfect but acceptable in an iffy kit.  P

Well, unlike Airmodel, Contrail and Rareplanes vac kits,Combat Models kits have thin plastic and not very crisp details .Not really meant for the beginning modeler

Wow! That's enough work for a body shop to tackle. More power to you Eugene, Bow Down. I've had a couple of kits that looked like that. Would rather not tackle any more like them.

Stay safe.

Eugene-You're making nice progress on a project that I would not want to tackle.

Hi Eugene! Looks like your build is coming along nicely. Are you going to need a lot of filler on those seams or is it the camera playing tricks on the eyes? I've only tried a vacuum formed kit once years ago and it was a total disaster. I guess all the filling and sandind just got on my nerves and I gave up. I have one or two of them in the stash and after seeing your tip on the strips in the fuselage I just might pull one out and give it a try. Keep up the great work.

Stay safe.

Getting the fuselage together,I have found that the styrene filets stabilize the vac form parts and provides a flat surface to make joining the fuselage halves easier.

After seeing what Piers (Lostagain) did with the "Winnie May", vacuform kits can be built into nice subjects.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this one!

Fit of the engine nacelles was iffy ,body work will be necessary.
